Description
Rose Dene is a house from the early 19th century that has been altered and extended at the rear. It is constructed from coursed herring-bone tooled sandstone and features a pantile roof with rebuilt rendered stacks. The house originally had a central entry plan and is two storeys high with a three-window front. The current entrance is located at the rear in a 20th-century extension. The outer windows on the ground floor and the three upper windows are 16-pane sashes, while the centre window on the ground floor, which was formed from the original doorway, has a 9-pane sash. All openings have stone wedge lintels and channelled keystones. The rear extension is of no particular interest. The house has a stone ridge, coping, and moulded kneelers, with end stacks.
