Description

Hall Croft is a small house dating from the late 18th century, situated on the north side of Main Street in Cononley. The house is constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof and a stone ridge. It is two storeys high and three bays wide, displaying a symmetrical facade. The house has dressed quoins. The windows are four-light stone recessed mullion windows, except those above the front doors, which are two-light. The windows have plain surrounds, and the front door is topped by a plain open pediment supported by cut consoles. There are two chimneys present. The right-hand gable end features a double-chamfered surround, now backing the mullions. Internally, at least one room has panelled reveals. The house was formerly the farmhouse of the home farm associated with Cononley Hall.
