Description
Jolby Manor is a manor house dating from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings and has a 20th-century concrete interlocking tile roof. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands 2 and a half storeys tall, featuring five first-floor windows. The exterior includes chamfered rusticated quoins and a central doorway that is obscured by a glazed screen. The windows are chamfered mullion types, consisting of two lights and hoodmoulds, except for the single-light windows located on both floors in the second and fourth bays. At the center, there is a dormer window with a two-light double-chamfered mullion window, also with a hoodmould, along with shaped kneelers and ashlar coping. Below this window is a blank ashlar moulded panel. In the angle with the rear range to the right, there is a 20th-century triangular-plan addition that features a reset bolection-moulded doorway with a stepped base, a cornice on consoles, and a pedimented moulding above the cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
