Description

A group of 10 medieval tombstones and 1 column base is located around the west end of the Church of Saint Oswald. These date from the 13th to the 14th century and are made of stone. The grave covers are all laid flat. Five of the tombstones have a tapering plan and are triangular in section, featuring a raised ribbed cross along with incised swords and shields. The other five have a chamfered trapezoid plan. The column base is from a 13th-century shafted column.
