Description

Nos 18-22 on Finkle Street are a corner block of 18th century cottages featuring 19th and 20th century shop fronts. They are constructed from local reddish-brown brick, with No 18 having a colour-washed front. The buildings have dentilled eaves and pantile roofs, with Nos 20 and 22 being taller than No 18. Each cottage is two storeys high and has two bays. No 18 includes a first-floor band that extends onto No 20. The entrance and the first-floor horizontal sliding sash windows have flat brick arches with keystones. Nos 20 and 22 feature 19th century glazing, with No 20 having a dormer and No 22 displaying a coped parapet and kneeler at the gable end.
