Description
The front garden walls with gates at Brimham Lodge date from the late 17th century and were likely built for Thomas Braithwaite, for whom the hall was constructed. The walls are made of coursed squared gritstone and stand approximately 2 meters high on the west side, stepping down to 1 meter on the south and east sides, featuring ridged coping. At the north end of the west wall, there is a gateway with chamfered quoined jambs and a lintel that has a shallow 4-centred arch with hollow moulding. The south wall has a central gateway with stone piers topped by ball finials, which are approximately 1.5 meters high.
