Description

The gates and piers to the stableyard at Thorganby Hall, built around 1822, are located approximately 15 metres to the northeast of the house. The structure features brick piers topped with ashlar coping and cast-iron gates. The square piers stand about 1.5 metres high. The gates are designed with three levels of rails, including bars and dog bars, adorned with lance heads, and incorporate diamond and arch braces.
