Description

A coach house, hayloft and dovecote, likely built around 1822, with later 20th-century alterations. The structure is constructed of pinkish-brown brick with red brick dressings and a Welsh slate roof. It comprises a slightly projecting, single-bay, three-stage central section with wider single-bay, two-storey wings. The central section features a round-arched carriage entrance with a red brick arch built of gauged bricks, and double plank doors. Above this is a 12-pane fixed window with radial glazing to the head, set beneath a round arch of red brick with two rows of openings and landing shelves below. The roof is hipped and topped by a square cupola. The cupola includes further dove holes and a weather vane. The wings are similar in design; they have 20th-century window and door openings, the one on the right having double plank doors. The first floor of each wing has an oculus with a red brick surround. Ashlar coping stones and kneelers are present.
