Description
The Crown Tavern is a late 18th century building located on Scalby Road. It is two storeys tall and constructed of dark red brick, which has been stuccoed. The roof is gable-ended and covered with pantiles, featuring flanking chimneys. The façade has three windows arranged symmetrically, with flush architrave framed sashes that include keystones; the outer windows are four panes wide. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door topped with a two-pane fanlight, set within a doorcase supported by fluted Greek Doric columns and an entablature.
