Description
The Ship Public House, located at 71 Falsgrave Road, is a building from the 18th or 19th century that was altered in the early 20th century. It is two storeys high and constructed of dark red brick. The building features a low-pitched slate roof with a gable end from the 19th century and a coved stucco eaves frieze. There are two early 20th-century wood casement dormers on the roof. On the first floor, there are three tripartite sash windows with flush architrave framing, and a small two-light casement window above the entrance. The ground floor has two canted brick base casement bay windows, also from the early 20th century, positioned on either side of the entrance, which has a flat roof extending across. The entrance features double panelled doors, and there is a stable or garage entrance to the right. The building is part of a group with Nos 29 to 73 (odd) and the front walls of Nos 29 to 45 (odd), which contributes to its listing.
