Description
The New Tavern is a detached building dating from around 1800, located on Falsgrave Road. It is two stories tall and features a stucco facade over brick, which is likely a later addition. The building has a gable end with a new pantile roof and an eaves band. The front is symmetrical with three windows; the outer windows are paired sashes set in slightly recessed frames with keystones, all under flat arches, and the glazing bars remain intact. The central door consists of six fielded panels topped by a four-pane rectangular fanlight. The doorcase is adorned with fluted pilasters and has a diamond mould at the necking, with urns in roundels set within a broken entablature and an open moulded pediment above.
