Description
Blois Hall is a house that has been converted into a farm-store, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of painted dressed sandstone, with red sandstone at the rear, and features a 20th-century tile roof. The main block is three storeys high and has three bays, flanked by two-storey, two-bay wings.
To the left of the centre block, there is a 20th-century half-glazed door set in a wooden surround beneath a keyed lintel. The windows in the centre block are primarily 20th-century wooden casements, except for the first-floor left window, which is a 12-pane sash. The left wing contains 12-pane sashes with 9-pane sashes above that are hung unequally. The right wing features all 20th-century casements. All windows have projecting sills and keystones. The roof is pyramidal in shape with a central cruciform brick stack, while the lower flanking roofs are hipped and have end brick stacks.
At the rear, there are shallow segmental arches above the original window openings. Inside, there is a central stairwell with a balustrade of 18th-century design that remains intact up to the first and second floors.
