Description

Milestone located on the north side of the A 64 in Knapton, probably from the early 19th century. It is made of sandstone and has a white-painted front. The round-headed monolith stands approximately 0.9 metres high. The lettering is almost illegible but likely reads: "S'BOROUGH 15 MALTON 7". This milestone is included for its historic interest.
