Description
The Collinson chest tomb, dating from around 1800, is located approximately 8 metres south-east of the south-east corner of the Church of St Patrick in Patrick Brompton. It is made of sandstone ashlar and features console corner pilasters. The longer sides of the tomb have fluted panels that flank circles adorned with a sunflower design, while the ends also display fluted panels. The well-cut inscription on the moulded lid commemorates Robert Collinson, who died in 1800.
