Description
The Green Tree is a public house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of roughcast rubble and features a pantile roof with stone slates at the eaves. The building has two storeys and five bays. The central entrance consists of a board door with applied panelling and is topped by a three-pane overlight. The side-sliding sash windows have ashlar sills, with the windows on the first floor being smaller. Ashlar copings adorn the building, and there are brick stacks located at the left end, between the second and third bays, and between the fourth and fifth bays. It is noted that the building is said to have served as a vicarage at one time and is included for its group value.
