Description
Prospect House is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared stone and has a concrete slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has four bays, featuring a central lobby-entry plan. The corners of the house are accentuated with quoins.
Between the central bays, there is a 20th-century board door set within a heavily quoined surround, topped with a lintel that has a projecting keystone. The windows on the ground floor are 4-pane sashes with stone lintels and sills, except for a small 20th-century casement window located at the far left. On the first floor, there are also 4-pane sashes with stone sills. The house is finished with shaped kneelers, stone coping, and has a brick stack at the right end as well as one on the ridge.
