1086/0/10035 MAIN STREET 11-JUL-03 (North side) Saxon Cross

GV II Village cross. C9, restored C19. Local gritstone. Tall columnar cross on 3 square stone steps. Moulded circular base with similar triple swagged motif above. Plain shaft rises to square top with similar moulded cap. Restored cross on top includes small figure of the crucifixion.
