Description
The Priory is a house dating from the late 18th century and 19th century, constructed of coursed gritstone with a 20th-century pantile roof. It features two tall storeys and three bays, with quoins at the corners. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door topped by a fanlight, all set within a plain surround that has a flat hood. On either side of the door are 28-pane sash windows, while above are 16-pane sashes. The building has channelled lintels and stone sills throughout, and there is a blocked doorway on the ground floor to the left. Above the central door, there is a channelled lintel in the wall. A projecting ashlar band runs along the first-floor level, and the gable ends have shaped kneelers and ashlar coping. The end stacks are prominent. At the rear, there is a central door flanked by canted bay windows.
