Description
The buildings at 17 and 18 Bagdale date from the late 18th century. They are three-storey brick structures with a basement, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The front has four double-hung sash windows on each floor, each accentuated by a keystone. Rusticated quoins mark the corners. The original windows lacked glazing bars. A modern oriel window has been added to the ground floor of number 18. A central two-window projection is crowned by a pediment, which incorporates an oval plaque. The building is finished with a dentilled cornice and parapet. Later, paired doorways have been added, approached by steps. Numbers 12 to 27 and the walls to number 24 form a grouped architectural ensemble.
