Description
No. 2 Chapel Street is a health centre that was originally a house, featuring a later canted shop window bay on the west wing. This building dates back to the 18th century and is constructed from reddish-brown local brick, which is rendered below the ground floor cill level. It has dentilled eaves and pantile roofs with stone verges and kneelers. The structure consists of two storeys with single-storey side wings. Originally, it had two bays, but a large 19th-century sash window has been added asymmetrically above the central entrance. The entrance features a panelled door with a wooden architrave. The building has unequally hung sash windows, each four panes wide, complete with architraves and cills, and is topped with flat gauged brick arches.
