Description

The Red Bear Public House is an early 19th-century building located on the north side of Thirsk Market Place. It is constructed of brown brick and features a 20th-century slate roof. The structure stands three storeys high and has two bays. The ground floor was altered around 1970, and there is a passageway to the right. Above the ground floor, there are 16-pane sash windows set in flush moulded cases. This building is included in the register mainly for its group value with other nearby structures.
