Description

21 St Hilda’s Terrace is a late 18th-century building constructed in ashlar. It is two storeys high with a basement. The front elevation is divided into bays by full-height Doric pilasters. A band runs along the mid-point of the facade, and a substantial entablature sits above, finished with a cornice and blocking course. A central panelled parapet rises to meet curved ramps. Five double-hung sash windows are present. A well-proportioned, segmental-headed doorway features stone Doric columns in antis and a glazed fanlight. The rear elevation is also in ashlar, with a band, cornice, and blocking course, and contains three double-hung sash windows. The rear elevation lacks strict symmetry. The building forms part of a group of properties with associated gardens, walls, and gate piers which have group value.
