Description
Nos 18 and 19 St Hilda's Terrace are a late 18th-century building of three storeys and a basement, constructed in brown brick with a slate roof. The building features a parapet, cornice, and stone rusticated quoins. It has five double-hung sash windows, with glazing bars present in No. 19. A gabled dormer is visible on No. 18, while No. 19 has a flat-topped dormer. A stone band runs along the ground floor, above the basement. The basement window of No. 19 is fitted with a flush frame, and No. 18 features a 19th-century canted bay window constructed of wood and brick.
A central pair of doorways is marked by panelled pilasters and topped by a steep pediment with a semi-circular fanlight. The fanlight originally contained Gothic glazing bars, but only a blind centre remains. Steps with railings lead to the front doors. The building forms part of a group with Nos 1 to 25 and associated gardens, wall, and gate piers, contributing to their collective group value.
