Description
22 St Hildas Terrace is a late 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall, constructed of brick, with a later fourth attic storey added. The facade features five double-hung sash windows, with a band that continues the cills on the fourth and third floors. The building has rusticated quoins and a cornice with a parapet topped with stone capping, while the attic storey has been built up from this cornice in brick. An iron balcony on the first floor wraps around the top of a central semi-circular enclosed porch, which is cemented and contains curved panelled double doors beneath a hood supported by consoles; this porch feature dates from the early 19th century. The building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 25 on St Hildas Terrace, along with a garden wall and gatepiers.
