Description
The gate-piers located approximately 100 metres to the north-east of Danby Hall date from the late 17th century to early 18th century. They are constructed from ashlar stone and feature a cross-plan design, standing about 2 metres high. The piers are rusticated and pulvinated, adorned with vermiculated panels, and rest on a plain plinth. The top and bottom of the piers have scrollwork on their inner rebates. Each pier is topped with a cornice and a gadrooned urn finial.
