Description

The hay barn, located approximately 60 metres north-west of Gayles House, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of ashlar sandstone and features a stone slate roof. The barn is two storeys high and has three bays. It has quoins and three arches on the front that extend the full height of the building, connected by an impost band. The centre arch is segmental in shape, while the outer arches are semicircular. The roof is hipped.
