Description

The bridge over Vernon Road, connecting Crescent Gardens to Cliff Bridge Terrace, is a small cast iron footbridge built around 1860-1870. It features trefoils in the spandrels and ornate scrolled ironwork in pointed panels of the balustrade. This bridge was constructed for Lord Londesborough to provide access to the Spa Bridge and the Spa itself from Londesborough Lodge, which is now the Medical Baths at The Crescent.
