Description

West House is a house dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century, with a later 19th-century addition to the rear. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with a roof of small grey/blue roof slates. The building is two storeys high and has a three-bay facade, extending two rooms deep. It features quoins. The central entrance is a four-panel door set within long and short jamb stones. Flanking the door are four-pane sash windows in slightly projecting stone surrounds, with lowered sills. Similar windows are located on the first floor, although the central window retains its original surround. An eaves band is present, along with shaped kneelers, gable coping, and banded end stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
