Description
Brown Croft Forge Cottage is a pair of cottages dating from around the early 19th century. They are built of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof and rise to two storeys. Forge Cottage, on the left, features a doorway with a plain stone surround and a stone hood above. The door is a 5-panel design, with the top panel being glazed. To the left of the door, there is a 6-pane sash window in a plain stone surround on each floor. To the right, there is a 3-light recessed square mullion window, with the lower part likely being a recent enlargement. Brown Croft, on the right, has an unmoulded doorway with a small light above it and a 3-light recessed square mullion window on each floor. The building has a total of three chimneys.
