Description

The cross stump located approximately 10 metres north of the gatehouse at Kirkham Priory is likely from the 14th century and is made of limestone. It features a base that is intricately carved with pairs of quatrefoils on each face. The stump stands on a stepped plinth and supports a square-section cross shaft.
