Description
Kirkham Bridge is a bridge built in 1806 by John Carr. It is constructed of gritstone ashlar and features one pointed arch along with two segmental arches, which are separated by cutwaters that create refuges on the road. The bridge has a band and a chamfered parapet. The northern arch may retain elements of older work. This structure is noted in Pevsner's work on Yorkshire, York and the East Riding, published in 1972.
