Description
Kirkham Manor Farmhouse is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with some renovations made in the 20th century. It features a front made of sandstone rubble with white ashlar and has a French tile roof. The building has an L-shaped plan, with the outer bays of the front range likely added to the original three-bay core. It is two storeys high and has five bays. The entrance includes a 20th-century half-glazed door, while the inner bays have sash windows with glazing bars. The outer bays have 16-pane sashes, and the first floor has sash windows with glazing bars throughout. Keyed stone lintels are present above the windows, and there are two carved figures of feasting monks on the central bays. The house features a stepped eaves course and a steeply-pitched swept roof, with gable coping and shaped kneelers. The end and ridge stacks have been rebuilt, with the left stack being external.
