Description

This is a house of three storeys and a tall basement, built around 1760. It is constructed of ashlar stone, with rusticated quoins. Horizontal bands are present at the basement and ground floor levels, and a dentil cornice runs along the top, above a blank balustraded parapet featuring vases in niches. The basement windows are set within square, rusticated architraves, each with a triple keystone. The second-floor windows also have architraves, each with a single keystone. There are three windows across the front of the building. Each doorway is framed by Corinthian columns supporting an open-pediment, topped with a round fanlight and a six-fielded door. Steps lead up to the front doors; those belonging to number 14 turn at a right angle and feature S-scroll rails. A single window sits above each door, adorned with a rococo mantling.
