Description
The Headmaster's House is an estate cottage from the early to mid-19th century, reputedly designed by Edward Blore. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick and features a plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and three first-floor windows, with single-storey, single-bay ranges at both the front and rear. The entrance is off-centre and consists of a six-fielded panel door. The windows are mainly 24-pane tripartite sliding sashes, which have flat ashlar lintels and sills. There are also tripartite mullion windows under segmental heads. A two-course band runs along the first floor. The roof is hipped, and there are ridge and side stacks.
