Description

A pair of gate piers, dating from the early to mid 18th century, are located approximately 10 metres east of Spring House in Hartwith cum Winsley. These piers were constructed for Lawrence Danson, who is associated with the nearby house. Made of gritstone, each pier stands about 2.5 metres high and features a rebated inner face, deep cornices, and ball finials.
