Description
Pond Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 17th century. It features a cruck frame and is constructed of sandstone rubble that is brought to course, with a thatched roof covered in corrugated iron and brick stacks. The building has a four-cell lobby entry and a later outshut at the rear. It has one storey and an attic.
On the right side, there is a board door flanked by a three-light Yorkshire sash window to the left and a two-light Yorkshire sash window to the right. On the left side, there are two two-light Yorkshire sash windows. In the attic, there are two dormers with two-light Yorkshire sashes. The roof is steeply pitched, featuring a stack at the left end and a ridge stack.
Inside, two cruck trusses remain, along with chamfered beams that have pyramidal stops in the forehouse and parlour.
