Description
Barkston House is a house, probably built in the early 19th century, with later alterations. It is constructed from magnesian limestone ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof with yellow brick stacks. The building has three storeys and three bays. The central entrance consists of a six-panel ornamental door topped with a radial fanlight. The ground and first floors have 12-pane aluminium pivoting windows in their original openings, while the second floor has six-pane windows, all set under flat arches with ashlar sills. The house also has ashlar kneelers and coping, as well as end stacks.
