Description
Village Farm is a house located on Main Street in Saxton with Scarthingwell, likely built in the early to mid-18th century, with later additions and alterations, including extensions to the left and rear that are of no special interest. The building is constructed of magnesian limestone and features a pantile roof with brick stacks. It probably originally had a lobby-entry plan. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. The entrance is located in the third bay and features a 20th-century long-panel door, with a blocked off-centre entrance. The windows are 16-pane sashes set within wider openings and are topped with flat arches. The exterior includes ashlar kneelers and coping, as well as ridge stacks. Inside, there are some exposed chamfered beams.
