Description
The Bolton Arms Hotel is a hotel built in the late 18th to early 19th century. It features a rubble construction with a stone slate roof and stands three storeys tall with three bays, along with a rear projecting range. The building has a plinth and quoins. The central entrance consists of a boarded door beneath an overlight, framed by a fluted surround and topped with a small pediment. Above the door, on the first floor, there is a coat of arms set within a columned and pedimented surround. Both the ground and first floors are flanked by tripartite sash windows, while the second floor has 9-pane unequally-hung sashes. The building is finished with ashlar copings and has end stacks. On the left side, there is a two-storey segmental bay featuring tripartite sash windows and a lead roof, with a 6-pane sash window located above.
