Description
This is a barn located approximately 60 metres north-west of Gayles Hall, dating from the early 18th century with an early 19th-century addition. It features coursed rubble walls and roofs made of stone slate and corrugated sheet. The barn has an L-shaped plan with a rear wing on the right side. It stands two storeys tall and contains five internal bays, along with a lower hexagonal gingang to the right. The structure includes quoins and a central doorway with chamfered quoining, which has a pitching door above it. There are three slit vents on each floor on either side of the barn. The roof has shaped kneelers and ashlar coping, while the rear facets of the gingang roof are covered with corrugated sheet. Inside, the barn has collared principal rafter roof trusses.
