Description

Gate piers to Langdale date from the early to mid-18th century and are made of ashlar sandstone. The piers are square in plan and feature panelled sides, plain bases, and cornices topped with ball finials. These gate piers are not in their original position and may have been relocated from Stanwick Hall, a nearby Palladian mansion that has since been demolished.
