MELSONBY ALDBROUGH ROAD (west side) Gate Piers to Langdale

Gate piers. Early-mid C18. Ashlar sandstone. Piers square in plan, with panelled sides, plain bases and cornices, with ball finials. The gate piers are not in their original position, and may have been brought from Stanwick Hall, a nearby Palladian mansion now demolished.
