Description

Orchard House is an early 18th-century house located on the south side of High Green in Great Ayton. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone and brick, which has been colour-washed. It features a pantiled roof with stone copings. The house is two storeys high and has three irregular bays. The original six-panel door has been replaced and is set within a pilaster-and-entablature surround. The windows are varied, with most being from the 20th century. There is a stone coping and a square kneeler at the left gable. Orchard House is included for its group value. A brick extension on the right side is not of special interest.
