Description

No. 1 Gallowgate is a building dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is two storeys high and constructed from rubble with a stone slate roof and a single brick chimney stack. The building features one hung sash window with glazing bars, and brick voussoirs above both the ground floor window and the four-panel door. No. 1 Gallowgate is part of a group that includes No. 2, Hill Cottage, and Nos. 5 to 9 (odd).
