Description

Nos 5 and 7 Gallowgate are likely 17th century buildings. They are two storeys tall, constructed from uncoursed rubble, and feature a stone slate roof with a central brick stack. The buildings have three windows with sliding sashes that include glazing bars. There is an archway through No 5, which has one modern three-light casement window on the ground floor. No 7 also has a modern window on the ground floor. Nos 1 and 2, Hill Cottage, and Nos 5 to 9 (odd) form a group.
