Description
The gates, gate piers, and overthrow to the Church of Saint Lawrence date from the early 19th century and are made of wrought iron and ashlar. The gates consist of two leaves with bars featuring spear-head finials and one urn finial, along with plain lock rails. The piers are square in section, approximately 2 meters high, and are monolithic with recessed panels. Each pier has a cap with a projecting band and a shallow pyramidal finial. The overthrow includes a plain bar with scrolled ends that is fastened to the capstones, along with a frame that supports a lantern.
