Description
Barclay's Bank, built around 1895, is a three-storey building designed in the Tudor style and constructed from red sandstone ashlar. It features an entrance on the canted angle at the south corner of St Andrew's Churchyard, which includes a Tudor-arched doorway. Above the entrance, there is an upper oriel with round-headed windows spanning two storeys. The building also has other battlemented oriels and windows that are adorned with moulded stone mullions and transoms, featuring small leaded panes and labels. The top of the building is finished with battlements and has pyramidal copper roofs over the central and angle turrets. Additionally, there is a re-used datestone at the rear, dated 1594.
