Description
This is a barn and stables dated 1789, inscribed with the initials J & DM. It features painted roughcast walls and a graduated greenslate roof. The building is single storey and consists of three bays arranged in an L-shape. The section closest to the house has a plank door set in a painted chamfered stone surround. On the left side, there are large double plank doors within a segmental archway, along with a central vented window that has a chamfered surround. The projecting left gable includes double plank doors in a segmental quoined surround, topped with a dated keystone and a pointed-arched window featuring intersecting glazing bars. The right return wall has external stone steps leading to a loft doorway, which also has a painted stone surround.
