Description
Ash View is a house dating from the early to mid 18th century. It features incised stucco walls, a string course, an eaves cornice, and V-jointed quoins set on a chamfered plinth. The roof is made of graduated greenslate and has rebuilt red sandstone gable chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. There is an off-centre panelled door framed in painted stone, and double sash windows with original chamfered stone surrounds, including a smaller fire window on the right side of the ground floor. Inside, there is an inglenook with a stone heck post, along with a timber-framed partition and beamed ceilings in the ground-floor rooms.
