Description
The New Inn is a public house dated 1730, with later additions. The original building on the left features an incised stucco front beneath a Welsh slate roof and has a brick chimney at the south end. It is two stories tall with a three-bay front, displaying three sash windows in stone surrounds on each floor. A datestone framed in moulding on the first floor reads: T.B. E.B. 1730. Inside, original beams and a heck remain. To the south, there is a taller two-story, two-bay extension from the late 19th century, constructed of roughly dressed snecked masonry with margined quoins, also under a Welsh slate roof with brick end chimneys. This extension includes a plank door in a lean-to porch on the left, a two-light window to the right, and a single window above, all of which are sash windows in stone surrounds. There is a small sash window without glazing bars above the door. 20th-century extensions to the rear are not included in the listing.
