Description

The former Grammar School, founded in 1566, is a two-storey building constructed of coursed, squared rubble with a chamfered plinth. It features a graduated stone-flagged roof with stone copings and kneelers. A bellcote is located at the south end, while a brick chimney is found at the north end. The west elevation has several blocked openings, along with a 16-paned sash window next to a plank door at the north end. There is a first-floor band with a single sash window with glazing bars at each end above. The south gable displays a much restored Perpendicular window with a hood-mould.
